Gunsmoke & Revolutions
Battle System Overview
FIELD AGENTS VS NON-COMBAT AGENTS
Given that some people are not comfortable with handling stats and battles, using the battle system is completely optional. Thus, you are able to choose whether your Turk will be a field agent (one who engages in enemy confrontations) or a non-combat agent (one who provides non-fighting services, such as networking, computer savvy, or technology development).Field agents will be given a full set of stats and are able to purchase weapons, armor/accessories, and materia. They are able to participate in any missions posted. They will gain levels and get stronger over time. These agents default M.O. for Turks, and thus most story-progression missions will fall to them. It is the recommended experience for this server, but certainly not the only way to play.Non-combat agents are perfect for those who either have no interest in battle roleplay or who do not like the idea of stats and levels. These agents are able to participate in non-combat missions and other select missions where non-combat roles are available. Otherwise, they are free to take part in as much non-mission roleplay as they like. These types of agents can ignore the combat system talked about below.SIMPLIFIED DICE COMBAT
The battle system isn't designed to be overly complicated. All Turks are assigned basic stats upon creation. They are given some starting gil to purchase weapons, materia, and accessories, all of which will modify their stats. All combat follows a basic formula, where turn order is decided by base speed and damage is determined by rolling specified die using the in-server dice bot. That damage is then subtracted from remaining health. Most combat is geared for PvE, though PvP is possible with minor modification, for those who wish to spar with fellow Turks. Each Turk can be customized by their chosen perks, their equipment loadout, elemental affinities, and materia chosen. As they gain levels, they will gain access to more powerful equipment and spells. As such, how you play is entirely up to you!
